Smoke – a poem about……….

I used to smoke for many years,

Now I’ve stopped to alleviate fears.

Yeah, at first quitting was hard,

But now my lungs don’t feel so charred.

No longer do I need to catch breath,

I have prolonged life before my death.

All around me no longer choke,

As they don’t consume second hand smoke.

It’s now cool that my clothes don’t smell,

Got more money in the bank as well.

There’s no chance that I will go back,

Realised fears of heart attack.

I’m enjoying being healthy,

Not to mention more wealthy.

Learned that smoke did attack my brain,

I concur because I’ve felt the strain.

I’ll never be a hypocrite,

But I’ve gotta say, I’ve never felt so fit.
